Shinju is built around a distinctive non-coated PV glass surface designed to deliver a different feel from conventional glass mousepads.

Instead of the fine, uniform texture commonly found on aluminosilicate glass, Shinju uses a pronounced corrugated / embossed texture created by the structure of its photovoltaic glass. This gives the surface a noticeably more tactile, slightly softer feel while maintaining a smooth and consistent glide.

The textured surface is tuned for a balanced glide, combining speed with controllability. Mouse skate selection plays an especially important role with Shinju: depending on the skate material and design, the pad can shift significantly toward either a faster or more controlled experience, allowing users to fine-tune the feeling to their preference.
